Art & Culture Travel

Art & Culture Travel offers educational and travel experiences for people interested in learning about the history of art and architecture, in London, Europe and other international destinations. The expert-led lectures and discussions whether LIVE or ON-LINE are accompanied wherever possible by visits to galleries and other locations to see the objects being discussed.

The process of learning about and discussing various aspects of art and architecture and then seeing it 'in the flesh' is an extremely rich and rewarding experience. By learning how to look at and interpret works of art and architecture, participants will not only unlock a deeper enjoyment of the objects being examined, but also bring the underlying societies and cultures to life.

The courses are led by Dr. Jacqueline Cockburn, an inspirational teacher and a specialist in Western European Art History. She has over 20 years’ experience of teaching, lecturing and leading art history trips, as Head of Art History at Westminster School, as an Associate Lecturer at Birkbeck College, University of London and as a freelance lecturer at the V & A, The Royal Academy and Arts Society accredited  lecturer.

Ian Cockburn MBA leads the business side of the operation and is a specialist in Spanish Medieval Art History and is also an accredited lecturer with The Arts Society and has lectured for SOAS. Over the past 6 years he has led many trips to the sites of Islamic Spain.
